Welcome to our 3rd annual live and silent auction. We hope you have a great time dining, dancing and raising money for Sequoia Parents’ Nursery School. This evening is a result of a true cooperative effort. Thank you to everyone who played a role in making this event a success. VALUE OF THE AUCTION ITEMS Sequoia Parents’ Nursery School and the Auction committee do not appraise or estimate the fair market value of the auction items. The contributors, in good faith, have furnished all statements of value appearing in the catalog. All property is sold “as-is”. In determining whether any part of the price paid for an auction item constitutes a charitable contribution, only the amount, if any, in excess of the fair market is considered a charitable contribution by the IRS. For one-of-a-kind items, the fair market value is the purchase price. Persons should seek advice from their own tax consultants regarding individual tax situations. AUCTION RULES All sales are final. The buyer is responsible for being aware of all exclusions, time limits, requirements, etc. stated on the gift certificates or donation forms. Check your items carefully before check out. We are not responsible for mistakes or omissions in the auction program. Private dinners, tuck-ins, etc. will be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon date unless a specific date is given. Reservations are required to redeem restaurant, hotel and theatre certificates. Certificates may not be redeemed for cash or substituted for other goods or services. Certificates have no cash value. Tax, gratuity, and alcoholic beverages are not included in the purchase price unless specifically stated. To bid on an item in the Silent Auction, write your Bidder Number and bid amount on the bid sheet next to the item. The highest bid at the closing of each table is the winning bid. Decisions of the Auction Committee are final. Any bid written after a table closes will not be accepted. CASHIER PROCESS All payments must be made in full on the evening of the auction by cash, check, or credit card (Visa and MasterCard). CASH AND CHECKS ARE THE PREFERRED METHOD OF PAYMENT as Sequoia Parents’ Nursery School incurs a processing fee for each credit card payment. Credit card transactions less than $100 will be charged a $5 processing fee. Checks should be made payable to “Sequoia Parents Nursery School.” All items must be paid for and removed from the premises by the end of the evening.
