Bridge Over the River Kwai is a real place located in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. We arrived at the bridge on another boat. This was a bridge built by the Japanese utilizing allied prisoners under abhorrent conditions during WWII. There is a museum and cemetery located near the bridge.
