Alissa had her 15th birthday. We went to a restaurant and celebrated!
The kids are enjoying all the new friends that they have made here in Vladimir, both from church and the neighborhood children as well. Their Russian is growing so much because of all the practice with other children. Josh has begun to write it and read a little as well. It is really neat to watch this blossom in them. I think the family has finally adjusted to the new life here in Vladimir. We had to relearn stores and where things are located. As well as bus routes and so on. We are getting the hang of it now and enjoying the big city life. In September we will start a home school group with two moms that are home schooling. Within this group the kids and I will be doing an English club to help to teach English. I am excited about it so that the kids can learn and then help me to teach it! Please be praying for this. Jason and I are well and enjoying the summer as well. We have enjoyed the break from the college as well having time as a family and being able to enjoy one another. Thanks for all your prayers for our family personally; our health, finances and so on. God Bless– The Havertape Family

The family is doing well. We have had a few waves of sickness in this last season, but for the most part we are doing well! We celebrated birthdays and have had a great summer break from school. With a wonderful heat wave allowing us to swim and walk outside often. We cannot believe that Joshua will start the second grade, Kamillia first and Jonny is officially doing preschool this year. They are growing way too fast.

Ministry in the Hospitals– Helping women choose life
Victoria continues to go to the hospitals at a minimum two times a week. She has been blessed by this ministry and we have seen other women choose life. She will begin a new ministry to women who have had abortions in the past. This is a healing ministry. This will help women overcome the pain and guilt that they are experiencing. She has a big vision and we are praying and asking God to provide for each step of the way. Currently she goes to the hospitals speaking to the women about the development of the baby. She also ministers to those who have chosen life. We would love to see her have an office and be able to open up help to other women and offer counseling and so on. Please pray with us as we are waiting on the Lord and His timing to expand the ministry in His timing. Needs for this ministry:
*We need to raise her monthly support. He cannot go to the hospitals and hold a regular job we have been searching this out if you want to support her financially monthly please refer to the back page. *We need to raise money for printing materials for the post abortion materials for the counseling. *We also need to raise money for two big needs that Victoria has in her life. 1,) She needs
Victoria Sorokina and daughter Alissa.
new windows, they are broken and the cold is settling in. This will cost about $1,000. 2.) She needs a washing machine. She does not have one and it is very difficult and time consuming. Cost $500. Currently Victoria lives on $250 a month so you can understand why she cannot pay for these big needs. Thank you for joining in helping her.

Calvary Chapel Bible College
The second semester of Calvary Chapel Bible College Vladimir officially started on August 24th. Last semester we had one student his name was Vova. This semester we have two full-time students, and a few auditing students. Both full-time students this semester are young ladies. Our student from last semester had to leave to serve his mandatory one-year service in the army. We have an exciting piece of news to share. We spoke with the main campus in California about our affiliation with the Bible College and we are now affiliated for on-campus education as well as distance learning through correspondence and online education. As a result we have been working hard to get all the translation work done in order to begin a school of correspondence and eventually have it all up and running on a website. The courses from the CCBC campus in Murrieta are being translated into the Russian language and recorded in the studio in order to have professional recordings done. There are five men currently working on the audio translation and recording. And there are several young girl interpreters that are working on the translation of written materials. Please pray for this, it is a huge project. We already have several applications of people that would like to be students through the school of Correspondence. If you would like more information about this ministry you can write our bible college email at ccbc.russia@gmail.com , you can also check out our Bible College Russian website if you would like, it is www.ccbcrussia.com

This is the car we have been using to go to Kolchugino on the weekends. A friend of ours has been kind to allow us to use it.
We have had a blessed year back here in Russia. It has been a difficult one with many adjustments but at the same time one of growth and great blessings! Currently we are trying to raise extra funds for some very specific things that our family has needs for. Our monthly support is doing well; however we live month to month and need to purchase some bigger items. We are asking the body of Christ to come alongside of us and help us with these needs. 1.) We need to purchase a car. Jonathan has an allergy to the cold. Above is a picture of him in the winter with his allergy to the cold. This is a very expensive need. Cars cost more here. 2.) We need new winter gear. All the kids have outgrown theirs! We need boots and coats and so on. In order to purchase this for everyone we need $500.00.
Kamillia enjoying the heat wave that Russia has not seen in 200 years!
The newest addition to the family. Tiger. We got him on August 21st our seven year anniversary in Russia
We got LICE! IT was awful! All five of us. Josh was infested so we had to cut his hair. BUMMER!
